Janet Gregory (Ormond), a single mother with a haunting past, is a paralegal struggling to overcome doubts about Calvin Willis (Ali), an African-American husband and father wrongfully accused of raping a neighborhood girl. Haden's big bass tones ring through to this enthusiastic audience. In the DVD's bonus interview, Haden outlines the musical philosophy that has kept him going all of these years.
