Reference management entails the collection, annotation, and citation of published information. Bookends greatly simplifies these tasks. Bookends can perform Internet searches to retrieve references and associated pdfs or web pages, or immediately find and import references for which you already have the pdf. Versatile groups (static, smart, and virtual), reference cross-linking (links), multiple notecards per reference, and near-instantaneous live searches help organize and find information in your personal collection.

v11.0.1: Theres was a bug in the "online-import" function. Tried to import over 50 results from Amazon and was given the maximum 50 nag as well even though it said I was registered. But when created a new database it allowed me to import all 250 entries I found. So this appears to be some sloppy programming on the developer's part. A work-around might be to create a new database with the cracked copy (while registered) and then import your old database into the new one. Seems this online import bug is triggered when it thinks the old database was created with a trial of Bookends and chokes on it.

v11.02: The "online-import" bug has been fixed by the developer, no more registration nag when importing. But… there is still a registration nag when doing a "scan document". Think there's nothing we can do as a work-around, since this is yet another bug for the developer to fix. The online-import bug was fixed, and one can only assume only registered owners will eventually complain to the developer about the scan-import bug too.

I'm still using v11.0, until this bug is fixed.
